Dream
SHOWS AND EVENTS AT THE DANCERS DREAM
At The dancers Dream, we want all our students to be able to showcase the dance knowledge and skills that they have learnt, throughout the year. As we are part of the Australian Academy of Theatrical and Ballet Dancing INC family, we attend and participate in their examinations and competitions, as well as hosting our very own end of year performance each year.

Annual
Concert
Each year The Dancers Dream hold their annual concert where our amazing students have the chance to step out on the stage and perform their hearts out. We learn and practice dances in class that will be performed on stage, with each student receiving an amazing costume made just for them with love and care. We also give all students the chance to receive the many awards that The Dancers Dream donate each year.
AATBD INC
EXAMS
Each student is given the chance to participate and complete any AATBD examinations they wish. We offer examinations in Theatrical, Ballet, Tap and Jazz for all our students young and old. Students will be examined on their technique, rhythm, style and confidence, and as a reward will receive certificates and medals as well as Diplomas in all areas amongst completion.
These exams will help students with explaining a range of technique and the ins and outs of dance as well as help them confidence and performance.
Theatrical
Tap
The AATBD Tap examinations are very similar to and work hand in hand with out Theatical examinations. Students who particpate in these tap examinitons will complete 15 different levels of tap technique and be able to recieve their Tap diplomia.
These examinations will show the syudents knowledge of their tap technique and practicaly theory alongside being able to demonstrate rhythm, counting and be able to mix and match different movements to create a new step.

Jazz
Jazz
The AATBD Jazz examinations are our most energetic and abstract examinations with only 12 to complete and an advanced diploma award at the end.

The Jazz exam will focus on and show the students ability in their stretching, flexibility and strength as well as basic jazz techniques and being able to use these set exercises into their own dancing routines.
In these AATBD examinations, students will complete 15 examinations all up before completing their Advanced Ballet Diploma.
These examinations will show the students ability to understand French Ballet terms and basic ballet technique of feet, balance, posture and arm work. The exercises that are set in these examinations are ones that are going to enhance the students control and timing, teach them basic movement that can be incorporated into dances or their own teaching and can showcase the students ability to dance En Pointe (if they wish to take this path).
The AATBD Theatrical exam will showcase a mixture of our tap and theatrical teaching with 11 examinations that will result in what is known as the teaching diploma (after compilation of their tap diploma).

Within this examination, students will have to show elements of stretching, control, balance and strength in their theatrical competent and will display their knowledge of tap theory and be able to demonstrate different beats and styles of tap dancing.
